About this property

Encompassed by a mountainous region with verdant hills and far-reaching countryside views is this contemporary cottage, sleeping a family of five. Bryn is a spacious, semi-detached property that welcomes you in through a gravel driveway, shared with the adjoining property, located on a peaceful country road. Spend a perfect evening inside the cottage, catching up with your loved ones over a much-needed glass of wine and scrumptious meal cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, a contemporary space fitted with all your essential amenities. When you're ready to relax, put your feet up on the sofa in the sitting room as you feel the homely comfort of the traditional wood burning stove and the TV plays your favourite family film. Downstairs holds a convenient cloakroom, great after a day of walking trails when your legs can't make it up the stairs. Retire upstairs to one of three beautiful, blue bedrooms; a double, twin and a single are available to choose from. Let all your troubles fade away in the spacious shower room, where you can scrub away and freshen up in a moment of quiet away from the kids. Wrapped around the rear of the cottage is a lovely terraced patio area, benefiting from wooden decking and a picnic bench, an ideal spot to spend an afternoon lunch on a sunny day. An unforgettable family holiday awaits at Bryn, a fantastic Welsh cottage getaway. Note: Property can be booked with Refs.1053808, together they can sleep 12 people.

Located on the River Ogwen is Bethesda, a small town just on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The town is home to a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and the extremely popular Zip World. Bethesda was a former old quarry town, and is close to Llanfairfechan beach, Bangor city centre and Caenarfon, as well as the Menai Suspension Bridge, Conwy Castle, and many more destinations. Bring your family for a fun-filled trip away to Bethesda, a prime location to explore Wales.

There were no basic things washing liquid or washing machine. We reached late so had to rush to get stuff. No locks on bathrooms. The cottage itself is brilliantly placed 10 /10 for that , spectacular view.. .. heating would not come on when it was cold, it seemed someone had nest on there phone and kept putting the heat down which was annoying. My nephew was so cold all night wore his jacket at night.

Would be even better with a cafetiere, clothes horse and a large saucepan.

The accommodation Bryn offers is basic. The feeling that the whole house has been decorated and furnished for the minimum possible outlay is inescapable. The kitchen is poorly designed and equipped and lacks a full size dishwasher. More significantly for a holiday let in an area for outdoor enthusiasts is the lack of washing machine and any means for drying clothes. No coathooks, a folding dining table with seating only for 4, no washing up liquid.... I could go on. I have no problem with any of these issues in isolation if they were reflected in the price, but 3 nights here were the same price as 7 the previous week in a far superior property on Anglesey. I'm conscious that the laws of supply and demand have pushed prices up this year but can't help feeling that in this case, we've been exploited.
