Very quaint miner's cottage nestled at the end of the valley, surrounded by mountains. Lovely walks from the door, especially up through the old slate mine to the abandoned miners village at the top. Amazing views. Be sure to get aquainted with the log burner in winter months but cosy and atmospheric.Amazing mountain roads to drive, also Betws y coed is a lovely local town with good food and craft shops.Peaceful, quiet, perfect if you like walking or driving. And dog friendly.

A fantastic little cottage in an incredible location. We loved every moment of our stay. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you could need, along with a great selection of books and DVDs.Although the description mentions no Wi-Fi, there is in fact Wi-Fi available, and it’s fast enough to stream online TV services on the smart TV. The fireplace is brilliant and acts as the main heat source. Logs are available from the local shop around three miles away, and as it was winter, we used roughly two bags per night, which felt very reasonable. We used what3words to find the cottage and had no trouble locating it. There’s off-road parking, and the setting is wonderfully peaceful — during the entire week, the only people we saw were when visiting the village shop. The bed was very comfortable with a cosy duvet, perfect for cold nights. We did experience a power cut on the first evening, but the fire was already lit and a bright lantern was available, which turned it into a surprisingly fun and memorable experience.Beautifully and traditionally decorated, it really feels like a classic Welsh cottage. We would happily recommend it and would love to return again in the future.
