Enter the property and find an extensive lounge, that feels even bigger by the stunning A-frame ceiling and exposed beams, with two parts, one is a cosy, relaxing space with large L-shaped sofa and armchair placed in front of the TV, while the second half of the room features a 3 seater leather sofa, a pool table ideal for competitive family tournaments, games and books. The dining room has a 10 seater dining table which offers more than enough space to gather the group together and enjoy a home-cooked meal, prepared in the contemporary, fully-fitted kitchen, complete with breakfast bar, 4 person dining table and a range of appliances, including a dishwasher, coffee machine and other amenities that will come in handy during your stay. On the ground floor there are two spacious bedrooms both with king size beds, one with a dressing table, wardrobe, television and en-suite shower room, both with fresh white walls and ample storage space, while the family bathroom has a bath (and shower), where you can enjoy a relaxing soak at the end of a busy day. This completes the layout on the ground floor. Upstairs are more bedrooms comprising of a family room with a double bed and access to an adjoining twin, plus a further spacious room with a king size bed and a TV. There is also a first floor bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and WC. All rooms have exposed wooden beams. Walkers can join Offa's Dyke, which roughly follows the Wales/England border for 177 miles, about one mile from the property, while the town of Welshpool is five miles north, with a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops, as well as landmarks including Welsh Pool Cockpit, Welshpool Town Lock and Canal Wharf. The beautiful Powis Castle and Gardens, a fortified stately home owned by the National Trust, is approx 10 minutes drive from the property. Guests can also take a stroll around Llyn Coed y Dinas nature reserve, home to a variety of wildlife. Visit the town of Montgomery, just three and a half miles south, and see its 11th century Norman castle, Medieval town walls and The Old Bell Museum.

The town of Montgomery sits just one mile from the border of England in Mid Wales. Popular with tourists, the town has a delightful selection of individual shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant, The Checkers, a fabulous way to make your holiday truly special. Pay a visit to the ruins of the 13th century Montgomery Castle, which enjoys beautiful views over the town’s timber-framed houses and cobbled streets, and beyond across Wales. The castle also hosts productions of touring theatre groups regularly during the summer. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle, an excellent place for a day or night out with its excellent pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year. The wider area is wonderful for walking and there are many cycle routes in the surrounding countryside with varying levels of difficulty. You can venture further into Wales with a drive up to the Snowdonia National Park, or directly west to Cardigan Bay, for the day, or hop back over the border and explore the Shropshire Hills aonb. A charming destination for a holiday.
