Rhayader is a quaint Welsh market town filled with cafes, pubs, restaurants, services, and specialty shops selling everything from local antiques to handmade jewellery. A huge swimming pool and weekly cattle market at a recreation centre are nice extras. Outside of town, the Red Kite Feeding Station, is a fantastic attraction. Rhayader is the starting point of the Wye River and features the beautiful Elan and Claerwen Valley Reservoirs and Dams. Aside from its many hiking and biking paths (for which you can rent bikes in nearby Rhayader), the Elan Valley also features a visitor centre with a café and a playground for kids. Due to the incredible range of accessible nature reserves, this region is often referred to as "the Wildlife Centre of Wales." Pony rides can also be arranged in the region. In Builth Wells, you may celebrate the Spring Festival, see the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, and enjoy the Winter Fair. The Welsh shore is about 34 miles away and may be reached via a picturesque drive.

The accommodation was clean and the shared facilities were spotless. The welcome hamper was a nice touch and even though the weather didn't allow a firepit, it was nice to be provided with wood had we been able to use it. We left a note for the property owner as there were a few maintenance things needing attention, nothing major but worth pointing out.

Slept 5 of us very comfortably, views were incredible and hot tub was clean and hot for when we arrived. A very small issue with one of the toilets being out of order for the weekend and the other not having a working light, meaning people would use the shower room for the toilet and those who wanted to just shower had to wait longer. Clean site and friendly owners, highly recommend!

The location and setting is absolutely beautiful with stunning views however there were no sharp knifes in the accommodation, one lady advised they are usually on the work tops which was shown in images however the lady who brought them said they weren't allowed to provide them
