Absolutely gorgeous accommodation and location. So good that all bedrooms have an on suite plus tvs. Downstairs is the perfect area so that all of us could be together but doing different activities. (All ages from 3 months - 57). We used the hot tub, the indoor fire and would have used the fire pit but ran out of time. Perfect location to visit Water-Break-Its-Neck, Elan Valley, Small breeds farm, Red Kite Centre, Hay on Wye.Had a great meal at The Swan Hotel & Steakhouse in KingtonBeautiful scenery, loved all the sheep surrounding us and also saw a couple of hares.I could live there. One hundred per cent recommend. Perfect for a large group to be together but also have own space.

Penshenkin Barn is beautifully decorated, set in the most gorgeous countryside and it’s a well equipped home. The provided directions were clear and easy to follow. We were disappointed on arrival as the hot tub was cold and we weren’t able to use it until the next day. The upstairs heating was also off on arrival and so the bedrooms were very cold. The downstairs underfloor heating was on but even the downstairs wasn’t particularly warm. We contacted the host and they came and lit the fire downstairs and turned on the hot tub however they told us the hot tub would not be ready until the next day. We were disappointed that the host didn’t check in with us the following day given the issues with the heating. The upstairs remained very chilly the whole time we were there despite us re-contacting the host and them revisiting to try and sort it out. We did enjoy our stay and feel we would recommend it but the host urgently needs to sort out the heating and make sure the hot tub is ready for guests on arrival.
