Lovely location with superb views over unspoilt countryside. So calm and noise free, very relaxing, no light pollution for star gazing, walks directly from the door, nearest neighbour about 400 metres away. Up a very long dead end single track bumpy road, so very remote. About 15 to 20 minutes into Presteigne for shops. Only 1 toilet. Owner very responsive to any texted queries. Lots of heating available if needed. Great if you like a truly remote location with wonderful views and walks.

It was a hard place to find as its quite remote location. Having said that it was so peaceful and relaxing which was ideal. Lovely places to walk and see wildlife and birds. The scenery was spectacular and enjoyable. The cottage was reasonably clean and well furnished. We had an issue with the water supply stopping but Peter (owner) helped immediately by sending someone with water and to check the supply including calling Welsh water. The issue was soon fixed. It’s an ideal place for walkers and those looking for a peaceful retreat. I’d advise taking plenty of supplies as no nearby shops. Would recommend good value for money.

Our holiday experience was very good. The cottage is situated in a remote area of mid Wales which suited us, there is no traffic noise to be heard. The cottage has an enclosed garden. There are walks into the local forest from the door step of the cottage.The cottage is very well equipped with everything needed for a stay there. The only negatives that I think need attention are the paving slabs on the patio, some of which are uneven and loose with steps which could cause trips or falls. Also on the steps leading up to the cottage one slab is broken in two and is loose.The hand rails either side of the steps are in need of replacing with something sturdier especially the right hand rail as you ascend. I believe that these are safety issues that need resolving asap in order to prevent accidents.
