About this property

Machynlleth 1.8 miles. Set among the stunning Felin Crewi site in Penegoes near Machynlleth, Powys is the idyllic Grade II listed The Granary. This characterful cottage retains its charm through exposed beams, white-washed slate walls, inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove yet thoughtfully blends them with contemporary appliances creating a wonderful setting for families and friends looking for a tranquil holiday in Powys. The property also benefits from the shared use of the expansive and beautiful grounds where guests can marvel at the mill pond or enjoy the tranquillity of the flowing River Crewi. Spreading out from the 19th-century clock tower, the town's streets are home to a wide variety of stores, taverns, and cafes, as well as weekly street fairs on Wednesdays. Two galleries can be found in town, and the Museum of Modern Art, Wales is located there as well, displaying the works of many different international artists and hosting concerts and lectures in its 400-seat theatre.
