About this property

A remote, peaceful and traditional farmhouse in the River Irfon valley at the foot of Cefn Alltwinau in the Cambrian Mountains, while only 2 miles from the amenities of Llanwrtyd Wells.

Located at the end of a 1 mile track shared only with the farm, this secluded property is perfect for families or groups of friends wishing to get away from it all. Explore the surrounding area on foot with your dogs in tow, or try a spot of mountain biking, pony trekking or even bog snorkelling. Birdwatchers should keep an eye out for red kites, which are often spotted in the area, while keen fishermen and women should take to the banks of the River Irfon for the day, which can be booked at a reduced rate. For supplies or a good meal out, head into the busy town of Llanwrtyd Wells (2.5 miles), which boasts a small supermarket, shops, pubs and restaurants. Inside, this period farmhouse is brimming with original charm, through exposed beams, feature fireplaces and sash windows. The open plan kitchen/dining/living room is the hub of the home, with its large flagstone floor, open fireplace and pine dining table. Here you will also find an electric oven, microwave, two fridges, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and a cosy seating area with TV. A separate sitting room offers an alternative space in which to relax in the evenings, complete with Freeview TV and DVD. There is a downstairs shower room and WC. Up the stairs are four pretty bedrooms, one double, two singles and one twin, all of which offer wonderful rural views through sash windows. The twin bedroom is reached via one of the single bedrooms, and they all share a spacious and creatively decorated bathroom. Outside, there is a small walled garden for enjoying al fresco drinks in the sunshine. From here, wonderful walks can be enjoyed along the riverbanks while your dogs enjoy a refreshing swim. There is ample off road parking. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 1 double, 2 singles and 1 twin accessed via single room. 2 bathrooms 1 ground floor shower room and 1 first floor bathroom.
