This warming cottage in such a beautiful location is perfect for a romantic getaway in the Welsh country. This stone-built property bears an open plan ground floor with all of the fixtures and fittings you could need, along with exposed stone and wooden beams, as well as a woodburning stove to combine the traditional and the modern in a charming, romantic way. The upstairs of The Stable bares low wooden beams under a sloping ceiling in a calming, bright and airy room accompanied with some exceptional views of the Cambrian Mountains. The back garden is delightful and well-maintained with a charming patio area as well as a pleasant lawn area to make it the ideal spot to chill out. Rhayader is a short drive away, a delightful little town boasting charming little tea rooms, shops and restaurants, as well as a leisure centre and plenty of watersport opportunities due to the neighbouring River Wye. There is a range of must-visit places in Mid Wales within easy reach. Lanndrindod Wells is around 10 miles away, a popular Welsh destination offering great beauty and so many activities. Also within reach are Builth Wells, the coastal town of Aberystwyth, Newtown, Hereford, Ludow and Hay-on-Wye. A romantic cottage in a beautiful location.

Rhayader is a town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and boutiques, including local antiques. There is also a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. The Red Kite Feeding Station is a great attraction not to be missed. Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye and is home to the dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The Elan Valley offers a variety of walks and cycle trails, as well as a visitor’s centre with café and children's play area. This area is known as the Wildlife Centre of Wales, with its range of nature reserves open for visitors to enjoy. There is also pony trekking available in the area. Visit Builth Wells, where the Spring Festival, Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Winter Fair are all held annually. Alternatively, a scenic drive will take you to the Welsh coast 34 miles away.
