A lovely, mediaeval village in Powys, near to the England-Wales boundary,  Lansantffraidd is a picturesque settlement with relics from Roman periods and 2400BC. The village  is crossed by the Cain and Vyrnwy rivers and t he Offa's Dyke path is only 5 kilometres away, making Llansantffraidd-Ym-Mechain a fabulous base for walkers . It boasts two nice eating pubs, two shops, and some takeaways; a surprising amount of amenities for a little community!  The charming Welshpool is a short drive away, as is the market town of Shrewsbury, which is also well worth a visit.
