Guests say

Primrose Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful, secluded setting, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. Guests love the spacious lodge, large garden, and the hot tub, which is a standout feature. The property is well-equipped with modern amenities, though some minor maintenance and comfort improvements are suggested. Visitors appreciate the tranquillity, but note the remote location means bringing your own food is advisable. Overall, guests found it clean, comfortable, and perfect for escaping city life.

Most guests found the lodge clean and well-kept, though one review mentioned a teapot with mould and suggested checking items more thoroughly. No widespread issues were reported.

The tranquil, secluded location is a major highlight, offering peace and quiet away from city life. However, the remoteness means shops and food delivery are not nearby, and access may be challenging in snow.

Guests found the lodge spacious and comfortable, with good-sized rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. Some noted the sofas could be updated and mentioned the hot tub was occasionally not hot enough.

The property is well-equipped with WiFi, a hot tub, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and a large garden. Some minor issues were noted, such as slow internet, a small TV, and the need for a new frying pan.

There were no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

This review is for PRIMROSE LODGE Lovely lodge very big and spacious and the garden is a massive tick …. Plenty off parking out side the cabin . There is a washing machine .. tumble dryer.. dish washer and a small freezer. Kitchen is a very good size but Please change the frying pan ( we was there for pancake day and had an unhappy child ) yes we bought a frying pan l so our child could have pancakes 🙄… One tip for the owner check all items have been cleaned properly the teapot had mold in it … … bath room a very good size .. 1st bed room good size with 2 single beds in ( child said it would off been good if there was a t.v in it ( if your child is a light sleeper I would recommend u take a black out cover with u … just because if the other cabin leaves the outside light on it will shine into that bedroom … bedroom no2 a very good size but NO tv in that room too Livening room. A very good size ! The sofas are old and could do with replacing ! T.v is small for the size off the room Kitchen table is a good size and located in a very good place Garden hot tub is alway a winner winner but for some reason it was not always hot more like warm Good size seating Outside and well a big garden but if u have a little dog it is not secure ( under the wire a little dog would get out . Location is lovely in the middle off no where and please do bear in mind if it snows the roads around the cabins are not treated as we found out …. I do like that they do recycle there but NO food bin tho And now the big one to kids INTERNET Yeah it’s FREE but sooooo slow and u can’t watch t.v and say your child watch you tube it’s not going to happen ! Shops the nearest shop is 10/15 min drive away

Stayed here for two nights (7th November - 9th November) in the primrose lodge (there are two lodges)It is a quiet and peaceful place away from busy city life we are used to.The place itself is well kept, has WiFi, tv with Netflix, an amazing hot tub.Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a short staycation. The only thing I would say is there is no uber eats or food within the vicinity so bring your own food! 😅Amazing place nonetheless will definitely be back!
