Lower Goytre Farmhouse offers a charming stay, with guests praising the friendly host, Prue, and the delightful interaction with farm animals. The cottage's peaceful setting and proximity to nature walks and Knighton town are appreciated, though some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. While no specific praise was noted, there were concerns about flies and a fly catcher with dead flies, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful surroundings, and proximity to nature and local sights. The working farm setting and nearby walks contribute to a positive experience.
The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with a large fireplace and modern kitchen. However, some guests experienced issues with hot water and Wi-Fi, which affects the overall comfort level.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and wood burner. However, concerns about Wi-Fi, phone reception, and a potentially dangerous hot water tap in the kitchen indicate that some facilities require attention.
There is no mention of gifts or special amenities that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the reviews provided.

Comfortable 'vintage' cottage with huge fireplace and modern kitchen. Couldn't have asked for much more.

Great cosy cottage for our cousin get together weekend . It was well communicated to us via phone calls from the owner and cottages that the WiFi is currently not working and the mobile phone signal was patchy but this did not negatively impact our weekend. Pru was welcoming and friendly and had lit the wood burner ahead of our arrival. Plenty to do near by and we had a lovely weekend.

The setting is peaceful, but thats where the positives end. The property looks far better in the photos than in reality. On arrival, we were greeted by a fly catcher full of dead flies hanging in the kitchen, allegedly left by previous guests. The pet friendly claim was misleading; our dog wasnt allowed upstairs, and the owner suggested she be kept in a cage, something which is now denied. The owner even mentioned that previous guests had left for the same reason, which makes it all the more important that this restriction is clearly stated in the description. Wi-Fi didnt work, and with no phone signal in the area, we were completely cut off. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the listing is not an accurate reflection of what you get.
