The house was warm and beautifully decorated for Christmas with a lovely welcome hamper. The kitchen was well equipped with 2 ovens, 2 warming ovens and 2 fridges. The only issue was the fact that there were only 5 teaspoons for 8 adults! Also the downstairs shower was unusable as it didn't produce any hot water. This left us with the ensuite shower and one other in the bathroom . We coped though. The owner has promised to sort out these issues. There were also a few other maintenance issues but none of them spoilt our stay. What we really enjoyed were the games facilities- table tennis, darts, table football, snooker. Also the hot tub with it's lovely views of the surrounding countryside. For dog owners the garden is not secure and with sheep in the fields all around, dogs will need to be kept on a lead. There were lovely walks along Offa's Dyke from Knighton itself or from the door with a short walk along the lanes leading to the Farmhouse. We would recommend you aim to arrive in daylight as the lanes are single track and any signs difficult to see. The last of our party had to be guided in using a mobile phone and waving of torches! We enjoyed our stay at the farm very much and thought it was reasonably priced.

A little town not too far away that has shops and lots of cute pubs. The hosts left us a lovely welcome pack and some lovely fresh eggs. The house is a fab size for 2 families. The games room was perfect and used the whole time. The kitchen was lovely and spacious with a utility for the dogs. The kitchen needs more trays for the oven and sharper knives. Everything else was great. The bedrooms are very dated and everyone moaned on how hard and lumpy the mattresses were and pillows werenât great so Iâd take your own. The bathrooms all need a lot of TLC. Floor tiles were cracked, damp visible and all looked very tired. We only had 2 as the downstairs was out of action! The whole house could do with a freshen up to be honest. These small details would make this house absolutely perfect. We left slightly disappointed as the electric was cut off due to weather problems on our last day so we werenât able to use the hot tub and cook food. Owners said it was out of there hands
