Builth Wells, also known by its Welsh name Llanfair-ym-Muallt, is a charming market town that serves as a great home base for exploring Mid-Wales. The town has an intense 18-hole golf course, a sports complex, and the Wyeside Arts Centre, which hosts numerous live performances in addition to a movie theatre. The Royal Welsh Showground, located across the River Wye, is where the well-known Royal Welsh Show is held in July. There are also other other events held there throughout the year.
