About this property
Perched on the outskirts of Efailwen, a small village within the county of Pembrokeshire, is this barn conversion, Glowty Brynbedw. Finished to a contemporary standard and presenting breath-taking views of the nearby countryside, the cottage is fitting for hosting a group celebration or getaway, sleeping up to four guests. As you arrive at Glowty Brynbedw, make the most of the designated parking space whilst gazing towards the rolling hills of South Wales. Entering through the stylishly renovated cottage, benefit from the well-equipped kitchen-diner, with state-of-the-art culinary amenities, a wall-mounted TV, a woodburning stove, beamed interiors, and direct views to the frontal landscape; you'll also find an adjoining utility with washing facilities and plenty of storage to home your personal belongings. Heading up to the mezzanine sitting room, curl up in front of the TV, lounge across the array of seating options, or enjoy panoramic views of the nearby fields and mountains upon the connecting balcony. Externally you will find an additional social hub, perfect for hosting a hot tub party or a lunchtime barbecue, set within an enclosed and well-presented garden, both child and pet-friendly. Venture to bed by heading down the main hallway, where you will arrive at two tastefully decorated ground-floor bedrooms, both with a TV, ample storage, and direct access to the patio; you'll have the choice between a king-size with a contemporary en-suite bathroom, or a homely twin, located next to the main bathroom. Whilst set within a private environment, there are a wealth of local amenities to benefit from whilst staying at the cottage, from The Angel Inn pub to convenience stores and charming cafes. Enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals just up the road at Caffi Beca, which is ideal for when you fancy a break from the kitchen. Nearby there are plenty of activities to take part in, including a visit to Pembrokeshire Llamas and its trekking expeditions, fun days out at Heatherton World of Activities, and tours around Scolton Park and its 60 acres of woodlands. There are great outdoor activities from the doorstep, with Preseli Hills, which is a superb area for walking and cycling. It’s known as Bluestone Country because the Preseli Hills are where the Stonehenge bluestones are believed to have come from. Activities in the area also include fishing, kayaking, horse riding and mountain biking .In the heart of the countryside, discover the hidden gem of Ffynone Waterfall, explore the grounds of the Welsh Wildlife Centre and check out its residents of otters, birds, and owls, or relax upon the sands of Tenby North Beach. If you're interested in the history of South Wales, tour Castell Henllys and immerse yourself within its Iron Age Village, visit Laugharne Castle and its mediaeval remains, or head to Pembroke Castle and take in its stunning architecture, dating back to 1093. Perfect for all types of visits, choose Glowty Brynbedw as your Pembrokeshire dwelling.
Efailwen is a community in Carmarthenshire, South Wales, having a cafe, a school, and a church, as well as a plethora of rolling farmland and lovely small houses. This picturesque environment is only a few miles from Llandissilio, which is full with traditional Welsh pubs and shops; but, for a greater selection of services, head to Narberth, where the high street is lined with multi-colored Edwardian and Georgian buildings. There are numerous sites to visit, including the castle and museum, both of which provide enjoyable days out, as well as the nearby Canaston Woods, which provide ample opportunities for strolling, cycling, and horseback riding if the mood strikes.

"The only issues we encountered was the WiFi didn't always work (but we didn't book this holiday to use the internet, so wasn't a problem for us). There were clear instructions as to how everything worked and Pam was very responsive, helpful and friendly. The property is modern, spacious and clean, lovely views with a private enclosed garden. It was the perfect base for exploring South Wales, lots of places to visit, go on walks and good food establishments all near by. We would highly recommend."
"The garden is secure for dogs (as the road is very busy) and the fields behind the property for our dogs was definitely a bonus. The welcome pack was well received and nothing was too much trouble for Pam."
"Russell and Pam are great hosts nothing to much trouble even down to gritting during are icy spell in wales. We enjoyed are stay."
"The owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. (Russel the owner even improved the perimeter fence to stop our puppy escaping) Would highly recommend for a romantic or family stay or to explore the outstandingly gorgeous area all around the Pembroke coast."
"Everything there that you need for a lovely weeks stay, really well kitted out. Great addition of the hot tub also! Great hosts who go out their way to ensure you have everything that you need. Communication was brilliant. Can't wait to come back!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed. Great destination"
"Great kitchen. Great bathrooms. Plenty of parking and outdoor space Very spacious inside. Lots of little design touches as well as useful stuff like plenty of crockery and cutlery. Just a really well thought-through holiday let. Would highly recommend."
"Beautifully finished property in a stunning location. Perfect and safe for dogs with no worry of them walking away in the fully enclosed garden. It was nice to meet the owner and the welcome pack was very thoughtful. Definetly love to visit again in the near future."
"Even in not the best weather we still made the most of going in the hot tub, which is more than simple to figure out. Facilities - everything their you could possibly need. Beds - comfiest bed, best night sleep! Temperature - due do it being a large open space thought itâs may be a little chilly, but no it remained a lovely temperature the entire time. I personally canât wait to visit again, great place for couples, familyâs, friends and dogs. Under an hour away from surrounding seasides (st Davidâs, Tenby, Fishguard) giving you plenty of options for things to do and places to see."
"Everything was perfect especially grateful for the way the garden has been made secure so that our dog could not get out. Added bonus is the field available for the dog to have a run in. Many thanks to the owners Pam and Russell who are at the end of a phone if needed. Hope to see you next year."
"Well equipped the owners have thought of everything. Great location and the EV charge point was an added bonus. Garden was also very secure for our dog."
"Everything internally of an exceptional standard, hot tub an added bonus. Thank you Pam for the amazing cider and Welsh cakes which my hubby scoffed."
"What a stunning property definitely a 5 star. Everything you need was provided and more. Looking forward to staying there again. Lovely welcome pack provided."
"The location was perfect for exploring both the North of Pembrokeshire (cardigan) and the South (Tenby and pendine etc). The views from the balcony and hot tub were very special. The welcome and friendly nature of the owners was also exceptional and led to a unique experience for our family. Would definitely hope to come back again."
"Such a beautiful part of the country enjoyed our stay 5 star review from me everything is high standard"
"Beds really comfortable. Garden good for dog very secure and the field behind great for zoomies. There wasn't much in the way of instructions about the appliances but luckily they were similar to our own so no problem using them. Main downside for us was the fact that the Barn is right on a very busy road with traffic noise from 06.00-09.00 am every morning which we found a bit difficult."
"The road is super busy and we couldnât let our dog out into the garden without securing him"
