We were very pleased when we arrived T the property, new throughout, ceiling in lounge dining area was damaged and repaired, a little unsightly, the dishwasher would not work, we discovered that it had not been installed completely. The water was not on and the top arm was still cable tied to a stop. The fridge froze everything, maybe a faulty thermostat., we turned it down. The kitchen was wel equipped, all appliances new, all utensils excellent. The hot tub had no instructions, fortunately we have experienced the use of these before, . We were not however told how to stop it getting too hot. The chlorine tablets provided were not enough for the week, it really needed shocking and rebalancing, it was pretty murky we only used it 4 days out of the 7. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of either a washing machine or a tumble dryer, nowhere to dry washing either. This was definitely on the details and was a factor in our choice of cottage. We contacted the owner , he owned the local launderette, he asked us to take the washing there FOC, one load took 24 hours, service wash, not ideal with small children . The washing machine was supposed to have been delivered the Wednesday before our arrival, unfortunately the delivery was missed. It’s such a shame because so much of the cottage’s fixtures fittings and furniture were beautiful. In a personal note, the double beds aren’t really big enough for two adults, my wife is a slight 4ft 11 in’s , we really didn’t have enough room..The welcome pack and the abundance of cleaning supplies was particularly nice, pleas don’t think that this is a bad review, it isn’t, we were only the 3rd people in, so lots of things mentioned are just teething problems. Al in all , we had a good stay.

A fantastic house, which feels like a home away from home., in a village with a fabulous cafe, shop, and pub that were frequented regularly. The house had everything we needed, highlights included the ability to accommodate (officially) three dogs, allowing family to come together to stay during one of this year’s heatwaves, and ample secure garden and parking. The ground floor of the house remained cool which was perfect for humans and K9’s alike. Extra touches provided by the owner on arrival were a lovely bonus. Hope to come again. Pembrokeshire was everything we remembered it to be, with this house being location centrally to the various coast lines of West, South West (a bit further drive), and to the South.
