About this property

Ty Jem is a gorgeous four-storey, town house house resting in the lively seaside town of Criccieth in Gwynedd. Offering a balcony and sea views from most rooms within the house, as well as a games room, this fantastic property is the ideal retreat for a family break to the Welsh coast. Arriving at the property, off-road parking allows you to park your car and leave it there for the duration of your trip should you want to set out your days on foot. Enter into the hallway and leave your coats and shoes before making your way into the games room to work up an appetite over a game of table tennis. When you are ready to sit down and relax, head up the stairs to the first-floor, home to an open-plan living space with a balcony, perfect for letting some fresh sea air into the space. Here, happen upon the well-equipped kitchen where you will find an electric double oven and an electric hob to whip up meals for your group, as well as a handy dishwasher to assist with cleaning up. Sit down for dinner at the dining table to discuss the day's events and plan your next adventure, before making your way to the sitting room to sink into the sofas and watch TV for the evening. As the evening draws to a close, head upstairs to the second floor to find two of three well-presented bedrooms; here you will find a king-size and a twin, each of which have been furnished with plush zip and link beds providing you with a flexible sleeping arrangement. Climb the stairs to the third floor to discover the master bedroom, a king-size with an en-suite shower room and sea views from the skylight window; get ready in style from this wonderous elevated position, or if you do need to get a bit of work done throughout your stay, this bedroom also hosts a handy desk. Completing the interior of the house is a family bathroom located on the second floor and home to a bath so you can soak away the day with a good book, along with a convenient cloakroom and utility back on the ground floor. When you are not soaking up the views from the balcony, spend some time in the enclosed courtyard savouring a glass of wine in the last of the summer sun. The courtyard is a sun-trap on the warmer days, with dining seating for six and a barbecue, you can enjoy an evening of cooking and unwinding before heading back inside to enjoy your home away from home. If you can tear yourself away from this delightful abode, why not give the chef of your group a break and venture out to eat at one of the local restaurants; Bryn Hir Arms offers traditional pub grub and an inviting beer garden, while Swn Y Mor is a family restaurant offering breakfast, pizzas, lunches and children's meals. While staying at Ty Jem, be sure to visit the towering Castell Criccieth and enjoy the viewpoint overlooking the the Anglesey and Irish coasts. For a spot of adventure, the Black Rock Sands Caves rest just a scenic drive away and provide an endearing location for cave walker and explorers alike, whilst surrounded by a sweeping sandy beach. If adventure is your style of getaway, the famous Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is within easy reach of the dwelling and boasts an abundance of walking and cycling routes, as well as opportunities for kayaking and canoeing on the peaceful lakes. While here, why not stick you walking boots on and try to conquer Wales and England's largest mountain, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)? Another scenic car journey will lead you to the picture-perfect village of Portmerion should you prefer a relaxing day of strolling nearby. Whatever the weather, Ty Jem is the ideal property for a memorable holiday with your loved ones. Lots of places to eat and takeout around and a well stoked local nisa, also a petrol station to left. The house is such a home from home, everything thought of to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very well equipped, comfortable sofas, beds and pillows, all quality furnishings and utensils. We had great weather and the house got very warm, so we made good use of the outdoor areas the back area stays pretty much shaded whi h is great for outdoor cool dining and the balcony gets the sun. The whole week, we never seen one train at all, so when it says a quiet train station it really is. 5 minutes and your on a breathtaking coast, we loved the prom walk. Thanks Nikki for being great hosts
