Arriving at the cottage, the driveway leads to you to the doorstep, allowing easy access for your luggage. Step into the kitchen/diner which provides all the appliances you need tp rustle up a tasty dinner to enjoy at the dining table, along with a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up. From here, make your way into the sitting room wot cosy up for the evening in front of the electric fire while you watch TV. After an adventurous day, rest your head in one of three well-presented bedrooms; the ground floor hosts a twin and a family room with a double, a cot and an exposed stone wall adding plenty of character to the property. Climb the stairs to the remaining bedroom, a double, which boasts original beams and a plush bed you can look forward to resting in. Completing the interior is a bathroom with a bath and shower over, giving you the option of a long soak or quick rinse off after a busy day of exploring. Outside, the shared garden presents a welcoming space to savour your morning coffee or a nice glass of wine in the evening. If you don't fancy cooking one evening, head out to the local for some pub grub; Castle Inn Criccieth offers a traditional menu and a homely setting. Be sure to head down to the beach and enjoy a day of paddling in the shores, or simply relaxing with a good book. Admire the grandeur of Castell Criccieth, a magnificent piece of architecture dating back to the 13th century. For a spot of history, head to the nearby Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum and learn about the life of the first Welsh Prime Minister. Adventure seekers will love spending a day with Snowdonia Attractions, taking part in watersports, climbing and numerous other outdoor activities. Just a short drive will take you to the thriving town of Abersoch home to a superb watersport centre and plenty of seaside shops, pubs and eateries to fuel your excursions. Heading in the opposite direction, the renowned village of Portmeirion presents a unique experience; wander the charming streets and admire the Italianate buildings before heading back to the cottage. Criccieth is a charming village often referred to as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’. The town is situated just 5 miles from the lively seaside town of Porthmadog, with easy links to the delightful Portmeirion also. A 13th century castle rests on a rocky outcrop, offering unbeatable views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains.
