About this property

This homely, terraced cottage sits in a prime spot in the town of Criccieth, Gwynedd. With easy access to the beach, Snowdonia National Park, and the Llŷn Peninsula, this calming cottage is ideal for a family or group of four to explore a wonderful region of Wales. Find a parking spot on the roadside before stepping inside this lovely abode with a handy space to kick off your shoes and settle in. Locate the kitchen/diner and stock up the cupboards ready to rustle up your best home-cooked meals using the electric oven, gas hob, and microwave. Set the table for four or carry your plates into the spacious, multi-level garden with outdoor seating and plenty of lawn space for picnics! This private outdoor sanctuary also hosts a shed for storing bikes and walking gear. As the evening cools, find two cushioned sofas to sink into and host a movie marathon on the Smart TV and light the woodburning stove for extra warmth on colder nights. The utility hosts a dishwasher, freezer, and a washing machine, so sandy towels and bathing suits can be sorted ready for tomorrow's adventures. Upstairs, freshen up before bed in the family bathroom with a bath, shower over, and heated rail to keep your towel fluffy and warm. The first bedroom is a snug twin with storage space, while the second is a large double with a TV to catch your morning shows, and views of the sea and Criccieth Castle! This historic site with its impressive hilltop ruins overlooking the sea is only a short walk away, while the town itself hosts plenty of shops, antique stores, and a variety of eateries including Dylan's popular seafood restaurant. Popular for watersports enthusiasts, Criccieth has two beaches, as well as, plenty of coastal paths nearby to cycle or walk in an area known for its breath-taking vistas. Black Rock Sands offers a large, sandy beach, well-worth a visit on your way to Porthmadog; discover local history at the Maritime Museum, stroll along the harbour, and why not hop on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways? The steam train runs through 14 miles of countryside and woodlands for an unforgettable train journey! The iconic, Italian-style village of Portmeirion is also close by to admire the quirky architecture, stop off in a quaint tearoom or wander the surrounding woodland and grounds. If you're seeking an adventure, Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible from Casula for mountain hikes, Zip World Llechwedd, and plenty of nature reserves for wildlife lovers. Be sure to explore more of the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula where the likes of Pwllheli, Abersoch and Aberdaron are perfect for fuelling coastal walks, watersports or simply relaxing along the spectacular coast. Gather your loved ones at Casula for your next family holiday in North Wales.

This charming beach village, known as the 'Pearl of Wales on the Shores of Snowdonia,' is only 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town's 13th-century castle sits majestically atop a rocky outcropping, dominating the skyline and providing spectacular views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. The two beaches will satisfy watersports enthusiasts, while the nearby Snowdonia National Park will provide plenty of options for walkers and cyclists.
