The two beaches are great for water sports, and those who enjoy hiking or biking will appreciate being so close to the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Take a walk on the beach and spot some porpoises in the water, or unwind in one of the town's many pubs, restaurants, or tea rooms while enjoying a scoop of Cadwalader's ice cream. The cottage was advertised as dog friendly but the signs and literature in the property didn’t make you feel that it was. There was an issue with a leak prior to our arrival that the owner texted us about but overall we had a pleasant stay.

Very comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very cosy living room. This is an old stone cottage and is full of character. Llanystumdwy is a great location for exploring the local area and the Eryri National Park. It's an easy 30/40 min walk into Criccieth or a 5 min bus ride. There is loads to do in the area, even on wet and windy days. Not least the local pub opposite with friendly staff and great local beers. Make sure to check out their well-stocked little "siop", and ask about Big Dog Pizza nights. The pizzas were amazing. Should point out though, if all you are looking for in a holiday cottage is a massive TV, high-speed broadband, and huge sofas then this is NOT for you. However, if you're looking for a traditional, warm, and cosy Welsh cottage (right next to a pub!) in a quaint Welsh village, desire a slightly "off-grid" experience, and wish to explore some of the UK's most incredible walks and breathtaking scenery, then this is unquestionably for you!! We loved it and have already booked for next year!!

Nice patio area outside. However due to my back problems, the lack of a Bannister on the top third of the staircase isn't good & probably doesn't meet H&S ..The Wi Fi is sporadic unfortunately. Also sadly the leather sofas have oily marks from previous users heads , & the cushions are flat ..
