In glorious countryside on the fringes of the Snowdonia National Park, this recently renovated, bright, single-storey, traditional Welsh detached cottage with traditional inglenook fireplace, sits peacefully at the end of a private drive surrounded by lawned gardens and open countryside views. Bryn Eithin makes an ideal base from which to explore this fantastic corner of north Wales, with not only the exciting outdoor activities of Snowdonia on your doorstep but the beautiful sandy beaches of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsular are within easy reach.
This area is dotted with many visitor attractions including Caernarfon with its historic castle, golf courses, a fine selection of shops and restaurants, cycle hire and the starting point for the Welsh highland Railway for journeys to Porthmadog through the spectacular mountain scenery.
The cottage is also excellently located for walking and touring with fabulous walks right from your doorstep and there is golf and a variety of water sports and exhilarating zip wire experiences close by. Beach 5½ miles. Shop and pub 4½ miles.

This is our 5th stay. We love the peace and quiet of the cottage and the nearby walks, beach and activities. The cottage is always spotless and has beautiful views. It’s really spacious for a family of 4 and we will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised that the cottage was very clean and you could there was extra attention to detail in all areas. Many times they advertise it as such but they never are; I value that it was. The cottage has great views overlooking the hills and sheep (I had one cheeky one jump the fence and graze by the bedroom window). It's very calm and serene. Nice interior set-up/decoration.It warms up nicely throughout and the controls are very easy to operate. I didn't need to use them but the folders were incredibly organised and had all the manuals and details on how to operate all the appliances which I think is very useful - nothing like trying to understand all the things in someone else's place.I wouldn't say it is accessible due to the large step into the main portion of the cottage (which was difficult) - the main bathroom is on the right as you enter. Then 2 steps at the back of the cottage to the second bedroom and toilet (which are more manageable). There is no bathroom or toilet in the main part of the cottage - both are accessed through the one or two steps. This is just something to note as everyone's access needs are different so if you book this place, you should consider this. I arrived very late around 2/3am so I was worried about driving through and up a secluded area, however, the road that leads up to the cottage gate have street lights and there is a village located in that part so it's not completely cut off. There is a gate you have to open and close yourself when you get in and out but it's manageable and does offer privacy. It's not too far up the drive to get to the cottage. My stay was during a very wet and windy time so the washing machine located in the garage is not ideal as you have to leave the cottage and go around, open the lock to get into it and the garage door does swing back due to the wind so as I said not the highlight for me (bins are located in here too). The host was available if I needed anything throughout my stay which was appreciated. The only issue I had was that since I arrived so late I was stuck with no water in the shower and I couldn't contact the host so late. I managed to figure it out after an hour of checking everything but basically the pullcord has an on and off switch you have to reach up to engage which then allows the pullcord to turn the shower on. This is hidden and unfortunately green indicates off and red indicates on. It was quite difficult to figure out the problem so would be a good idea for this to checked before future guest arrivals. Things happen and I had a nice stay so I wouldn't say this ruined anything for me. I was travelling for work so that was more of a concern not being able to shower to get ready to leave again. It all worked out and I loved the honey available to buy from them. I would think this should be given in a welcome pack as I have received in my other cottage stays of a similar high standard.
