Llyn Padarn and Padarn Country Park (3 miles) are fantastic for cycling, watersports and relaxing journeys on foot, with the latter home to the National Slate Museum. Caernarfon Castle lies 12 miles from the cottage, while the sand and pebble beach at Dinas Dinlle (16 miles) offers dramatic views of the Isle of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula
