This cottage provides quality, contemporary accommodation including lovely sitting and dining rooms, a large conservatory, an excellent kitchen, and en-suites. The patio garden includes a summerhouse and views of Castell Dinas Bran, and is ideal for dining alfresco. Sometimes called 'The Gateway to North Wales', the riverside town of Llangollen boasts an impressive mountain backdrop, sitting alongside the boulder-strewn River Dee. Very comfortable and warm, cosy property with great facilities. Great location on the edge of town, walking distance to shops, cafes etc and lovely walks along the canal and river. The only downside was that the showers were a bit of a challenge. The water flow was generally poor and we couldn't run a tap in any part of the house if someone was in the shower as the flow was even slower. Not a major problem though. We would definitely come back to this lovely house.

We booked for a large family get together which the property easily accommodates. The cottage is very well equipped and in a superb location, we hardly used the car as there is so much to do locally. Everything you need is within walking distance, including local shops, supermarket, children’s playground, river walks, canal and railway trips plus lots of places to eat. The enclosed space at the rear of the property is ideal for children, and our dogs, with a converted shed for use in unpleasant weather. Lots of outdoor seating if the weather is suitable. The owner is extremely helpful and does everything to ensure your stay is enjoyable. They are only a phone call away if you do need anything. Would highly recommend a visit and hope to return again next year.

There is a children's park at the back (with a mini golf) and Llangollen is a very easy walk away (5-10 minutes max) and of course you can walk along the riverside. The owners were very responsive to a simple enquiry turning up the next day with some kitchen scales - they pride themselves on making sure everything is available for guests. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped (one of the best we have had) and even the weather was better than expected!
