Set on the outskirts of the popular town of Llangollen, this detached property is the original lodge to Llantysilio Hall and is set over two floors. The cosy living room boasts a remote controlled electric wood burner. There are gardens to the rear and side of the property, with the rear having a patio.
Llangollen town offers guests a wide range of bars, shops and restaurants, including takeaways which guests can enjoy. Nearby there are plenty of attractions for you to look around, including the Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which offers beautiful walks, barge trips and views. Within the town of Llangollen there is also the Llangollen railway station, a heritage railway for steam powered engines which you can board for journeys up the River Dee Valley. There are many local activities available including a mountain bike centre, white water rafting, canoeing, canal walks and barge trips, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and walking. Free transport is provided for guests arriving by train at either Chester or Wrexham stations. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1 mile.

Another wonderful holiday in a gorgeous lodge. Our 4th visit. Already booked for next year. The lodge is in a lovely part of North Wales. Lots to see. A good village for all shops. Try the butchers. If you like walking its a definite place to go. Pub nearby. Church is open daily. Excellent hosts.

This is the second time my dog and I have stayed at this cottage. For me it is in an ideal location. Llangollen is readily accessible by car or on foot along the canal. The beautiful Horseshoe Falls is a couple of hundred yards from the cottage past the pretty Llantysilio church. The falls feed the canal from the River Dee. A few yards further on is the Chain Bridge and Chain Bridge hotel which is good for lunch or evening meals (though I didn't eat there myself this time). The cottage is excellently equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, even an air-fryer, and the shower is a particularly good one. There is a good Wi-Fi signal in the cottage though the phone signal is a bit less reliable. There is a good sized garden ideal for the dog, though a small one might be able to get through the fencing if it is determined! I have already booked to go back next year.
