Guests that stayed at this property said

Most reviews commend the property for its cleanliness, particularly the bathrooms and bedding. However, a few guests noted areas that could have been cleaner, such as under beds and kitchen equipment.

The property's location is frequently highlighted as excellent, offering beautiful views, proximity to Llangollen, and a good base for exploring North Wales. The only minor concern mentioned is the proximity to a busy road.

Guests find the property warm and comfortable, with ample space for large groups. Some guests mentioned specific issues with bed comfort and the need for additional safety features like a handle near the bath.

The facilities, including the hot tub and kitchen equipment, are generally well-received. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as a non-functioning bath/shower and a piano not up to standard for musicians.

The owner's thoughtfulness is appreciated, with mentions of a generous welcome pack and responsiveness to guests' needs. While gifts are positively noted, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was unfortunate that the Rayburn was not working, but Emma gave us access to the neighbouring property to use the oven there (the single working oven in the property was not adequate for our large group). We were disappointed to find that the dining chairs were metal (rather than shown in the pictures) which members of our party found cold and hard. We would suggest that fitting a door bell to the conservatory entrance would be useful as otherwise it can be difficult to attract attention when the door is shut.

Hated the pool table and football table additions Uncomfortable metal chairs in the dining room instead of the wooden one in the pictures Pictures depict a very bright house, clearly professional lighting was used as this house is very dark inside. We had lights on all day. I chose this house for a family weekend away and I was apologising before anyone stepped over the threshold. We needed to stay outside with the dogs and children as there is no gate on the garden to the main

Our previously booked holiday cottage was cancelled last minute and we had family coming over from the Netherlands and Ireland. So I booked this property last minute on the day of arrival ( thanks to Sarah from Sykes Cottages who stayed ). The host Emma was very helpful the prepare the property for us last minute, she is very friendly and helpful with a quick response. The property was specious with lots of bedrooms just perfect for everyone. It's well equipped, nice garden with an amazing, large, private hot tub. Although the property needs some reparation and renovation as it's on the old side, with some cracks in the walls and moulds. When we arrived after couple of hours we had no warm water and the heatings kept going off at night which made the bedrooms cold, this was unpleasant as we had small kids with us. I would recommend staying at this property.
