About this property

38 Market Street sits in the heart of Llangollen, North Wales, close to shops, restaurants, bars, museum and galleries. This characterful Victorian mid terrace town cottage rests near the river Dee and hosts one double bedroom with a king size bed. On arrival, unload at the 30-minute bay opposite then ideally, park in the unrestricted adjacent side streets (or car parks). There is so much to do in and around the town - find a parking space and you might not need to move your car for a week! Step inside to find the original exposed brick chimney breast housing a wood burner effect electric fire. Hang your jackets on the hooks, kick off your shoes and unwind on the Stressless reclining chairs. Dine together at the dining table, which can be prepared in the kitchen with an electric oven, hob and microwave. Riverside restaurants, cafes and other take away food outlets are all close by. Venture upstairs for a soothing soak in the bathroom or rinse the day away in the overhead shower to freshen up. When sleep calls, a king size bed awaits, with bedside lamps and a selection of books for night time reading. Tomorrow, a short stroll leads to the River Dee, the Heritage Railway and Llangollen Canal. Plenty of other longer walks too, including the Town Trail, the Motor Museum and Horseshoe Falls, or a hike up to Castell Dinas Bran. Local cycle and e-bike hire – perhaps a cycle ride along the canal towpath to the World Heritage Pontcysyllte aqueduct (and a boat trip over it). Llangollen Pavilion hosts the International Eisteddfod every July with concerts, antique/food fairs etc and other events throughout the year. Jump back in the car to test your swing at the Vale of Llangollen Golf Club or try the water sports at Bala Lake, visit Snowdonia, or venture to the city of Chester, steeped in history with its Roman City Walls, magnificent cathedral and the remains of the Roman Amphitheatre

This attractive tourist town, globally famed for its Musical Eisteddfod, is nestled in the magnificent Vale of Llangollen, with its spectacular mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee. Take a steam train or canal boat ride through the lush valley, or take an adventurous hike up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, for a breathtaking panorama. Llangollen has a diverse choice of bars and restaurants, as well as a variety of unique stores. Enjoy an adrenaline day whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or unwind with a tranquil afternoon in one of the local spas!

Very clean and comfortable accomodation. Left a welcome pack of bread milk butter biscuits and bananas etc and also staples in the cupboards ie salt vinegar spices and much much more. This accomodation was ideal for us. Thank you

It was like being home from home. John and Kate have thought of everything to make a stay there a really good experience. There was milk, bread, butter , fruit and some cans in a cupboard along with tea and coffee to tied you over. The Information folder covered everything you needed to know about the house and surrounding area and they were contactable by phone if needed. I was sorry to have to leave at the end of my stay and highly recommend it to others. I shall certainly be booking it again in the near future. PS I never once had to use the Public Car Park as I always managed to find a parking space in the nearby streets.

My second visit to this homely, comfortable cottage. It is very well equipped, everything you could possibly need, would certainly return.
