About this property

Penrhos is a stunning detached house based in Corwen, Denbighshire. It is a former chapel and was converted into a home many years ago. The owners have made further renovations to make this property into a contemporary holiday home, full of character, with a light and welcoming decor. Set over three storeys, this house has an abundance of attractive rooms, starting with the two sitting rooms, both with cosy sofas. One has a TV with a lovely woodburning stove, perfect for those family nights in. The second sitting room is the ideal spot for a quiet place to read, with a large selection of reading materials located in the games room on the second floor. There are also French doors which lead out into the garden. The games room also has a pool table, perfect for some family bonding. The kitchen has modern white units and cupboards, sleek granite worktops with plenty of amenities to suit your cooking needs. There is a small dining area in the kitchen with seating for up to four people, and a larger, separate dining area for up to six people. Upstairs are six wonderful bedrooms: two double and one king-size with an en-suite shower room on the first floor. On the second floor are a further three bedrooms: one king-size, one twin and one single. There are three separate bathrooms, giving you a choice of a bath or shower. The property is ideally placed for many wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. There is off-road parking for five cars. Outside there is a lovely lawned area with an abundance of plants and shrubbery, as well as many different areas to sit out and enjoy the sun or shade. Denbighshire is home to a number of attractions, including Castell Dinas Brân, a medieval castle occupying a prominent hilltop site. It is estimated to have been built in the 1260s by Gruffydd Maeor II, a Prince of Powys Fadog, on the site of several earlier structures, including an Iron Age hillfort. Also nearby is Valle Crucis Abbey, a Cistercian abbey which was built in 1201. It is home to monks and has a variety of picnic tables, a pond and cafe. Further afield, you will find Knightly's Fun Park, with a variety of adventures for the whole family. Funfair rides, arcade games, evening entertainment, from disco to games to magic and mayhem. Regular bingo sessions, cabaret and comedy night for the adults. This is an attraction you don't want to miss. Penrhos is the ultimate holiday destination for friends and families.

Corwen is a town, community and electoral ward in the county of Denbighshire, Wales. It stands on the banks of the River Dee beneath the Berwyn mountains. Corwen is best known for its connections with Owain Glyndŵr, who proclaimed himself Prince of Wales on 16 September 1400, from his nearby manor of Glyndyfrdwy, which began his fourteen-year rebellion against English rule. A life-size bronze statue of the prince mounted on his battle horse was installed in The Square in 2007.
