Conwy’s mighty Castle (a World Heritage Site) is the dramatic backdrop to this modern Conwy holiday cottage, which is set in the shadow of one of the medieval watchtowers and within a - minute stroll of the heart of Conwy. This delightful modern holiday cottage, one of three in a newly built terrace, has a stylishly furnished interior using muted colours of white, beige and chocolate. The open plan ground floor has zany corduroy chairs, a chocolate-coloured sofa and stools for breakfast bartop eating. There is fine crisp Egyptian linen (and cotton bathrobes) in the pristine bedrooms and a small private enclosed patio with table and chairs, ideal for outdoor dining.
Knight’s Rest is within easy reach of Snowdonia National Park. Enjoy a day trip or two to experience the outstanding natural beauty of the mountains and the coast, fascinating industrial heritage, steam train rides, exhilarating adventure activities and delicious local produce. Or visit the National Trust Bodnant Gardens, a glorious celebrated woodland garden with shop, café and tea room overlooking the beautiful Conwy Valley and Carneddau Mountains.

We had a good week at Knights Rest. The location is great for easy access to the town, Conwy Mountain, and various coastal paths. Parking is easy and the heating worked well for us now that it’s starting to turn colder. The house is tidy and clean, and we found the main double bed comfy. Most utensils are provided, but no measuring jug. There is a washing machine, but sadly no tumble drier, so we had clothes spread around the house to dry off. Not really a problem. The back garden is impressive. It was a shame that it wasn’t the time of year to use it. Note that there is no clothes or baggage storage facility in Bed 2. It’s a double bed in a single bedroom, so no room for anything other than bedside cabinets.Although the welcome pack says that it is a new build, that was in 2012, so some things are looking a bit tired. For example the bathroom no longer has a towel rail, as shown in the pictures, so nowhere to hang damp towels. The shower curtain isn’t waterproof, it actually absorbs water which is a bit strange, but it is a good shower. The other quirk is that the toilet roll is about 3 ft behind the toilet. Not ideal if you have back problems.Other niggles are that the welcome pack needs updating. It says that there is a coffee maker, cafetière and ingredients. There is no coffee machine and ingredients. Likewise it says that there are ‘Bathrobes, Slippers and complimentary toiletries akin to a spa’. There are only bathrobes and small soap tablets. The instructions for the bins refer to a square white recycle sack in the rear garden. Couldn’t find the sack.The TV could do with updating as it doesn’t receive HD channels, but works okay, although the bluray player is good. The gateleg table has had it’s feet replaced with casters that make it unstable. It is also raised up higher which means that the flap support legs don’t reach the floor. This resulted in spilled drinks as the table tipped when I put plates on it.Overall it was an enjoyable week. If some bits are sorted and the welcome pack is updated, then it would be brilliant. Lovely holiday home in a great location in Conwy, convenient for the town & Quay. We didn't have a welcome pack (as others have said they did) & no bbq that we could find (as mentioned on the property facilities). Otherwise comfortable & well equipped for a week for a couple or small family.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage perfectly located 2 minutes walk to the town centre. Will happily be staying again before long
