Highgate is a well-equipped and comfortable cottage with a hot tub, offering a homely atmosphere and a good base for exploring North Wales. The property has received praise for its spaciousness, unique design, and convenient location. Guests have enjoyed the added touches such as a welcome hamper and local recommendations from the host.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the property spotless and were satisfied with the level of cleanliness, others reported issues with cleanliness in the kitchen and general tidiness, which impacted their stay.
The location of the property is highly praised for being close to local attractions and amenities, offering nice walks and being a great base for exploring the area. Its proximity to Llandudno and Snowdonia adds to its appeal.
Guests have found the property to be comfortable, with comfy beds and spacious living areas. However, some noted that additional showers would enhance comfort for larger groups, and the sofa bed was mentioned as being less comfortable.
Facilities like the hot tub and play area are appreciated, but there have been comments about the need for modernisation and maintenance issues such as a broken lock on the balcony door and a dangerous glass panel. The provision of a barbecue grill was also a concern for one guest.
The thoughtfulness of the host is evident in the provision of a welcome hamper and local food items, which were well-received by guests. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The first floor offers three good sized bedrooms, and on the second floor there is a twin room with a fully equipped beverage point, with a fridge, microwave and sink. Outside are a climbing frame and swing and an enclosed side patio with small lawn, garden lights and furniture, offering a safe play haven for children, whilst the adults relax in the hot tub. Set between the Great Orme and the Little Orme, the village of Llandudno is a popular destination due to the town's two waterfronts. With both The North Shore and The West Shore, there are two beaches for visitors to choose from, the former offering a wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the latter offering contrast with its miles of sandy shoreline backed by dunes and superb views of nearby Anglesey. For great photo opportunities from the 600 feet high Great Orme summit, visitors can enjoy a relaxing trip up via the Tramway or cable car. There are a number of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes in the town whilst just four miles away is the World Heritage Site of Conwy. It was a comfortable and well equipped house and in a pleasant location. The property itself was quirky with several staircases, little snugs and a balcony; this was part of it's charm. The contact, Iwona, was pleasant and responsive. The only bit we weren't too fussed about was the hot tub. It was wedged between a tree and a fence and fiddly to climb in and get the top on and off - we wouldn't bother paying £100 for it again. Overall, however, we would recommend the property to future holiday makers.
