No smoking.. Dôl y Mynydd sits in its own private wildflower garden and enjoys simply stunning views over Snowdon and the dramatic rolling landscape. A few miles down the road in the Llangernyw, you’ll find a lovely local with log fires and delicious food. This popular watering hole does one of the best Sunday roasts around and offers a takeaway option, including delicious homemade wood-fired pizzas.
For a greater variety of eateries visit the beautiful village of Betws y Coed, which has numerous attractions and a distinctly Alpine feel, enhanced by the dense Gwydir Forest and mountain backdrop. The site is well-positioned to visit a variety of amazing attractions around North Wales including the Forest Coaster and Zip World, Go Below Underground Adventures, Surf Snowdonia, and the fantastic Highland Railway. Walking and hiking in the Snowdonia National Park is a must with some of the most scenic routes in the whole of the UK. Also, within easy reach are the Carneddau Mountains, plus numerous mountain lakes, offering mountain biking, walking and fishing. Bike hire, fishing and a cafe are available at Llyn Brenig (which contains a 10-mile round walk) or for less strenuous, but equally impressive routes visit Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd.
What’s more, the North Wales Coast can easily be explored by car with the beaches of Llyn Peninsula, Anglesey, and Conwy all within an hour’s drive. However, despite the multitude of activities and attractions on offer you may want to put up shop and simply relax and unwind in this relaxing, hillside cabin. On-site, enjoy miles of glorious countryside with plenty of walks and an abundance of wildlife right on your doorstep. Listen to the chirrups of woodland birds singing in the trees while Red Kites and Buzzards soar overhead, and a charming collection of farm animals amble lazily around the fields. This lovely, secluded cabin is just right for a romantic break under the stars.

Lovely location and perfect for short break. Had everything we needed, though the fridge is truly tiny (though well trailed in comments so we knew to take ice chest). Enjoyed the hot tub with the Bucksfizz provided by owner. The trees need a trim to allow for better sunset views.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The weather was fantastic. The hot tub was amazing 👏. We loved it. BBQ on the decking. Bed was lovely a comfy. If you want a chilled out weekend go here. I can't recommend it enough. Your out in the sticks. Peace and quiet. I will be booking again. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay here and it was exactly what we were looking for as a base while exploring North Wales and spending our days hiking in the mountains.The cabin was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the setting was incredibly peaceful throughout our stay. Apart from the occasional sheep bleating, it was wonderfully quiet. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the private deck and in the hot tub after long days walking, with lovely views across the surrounding farmland, hills and mountains.The cabin had everything we needed, including a hot shower, a useful storm porch for wet coats and boots, and a simple kitchenette. One unexpected highlight was the wildlife – while sitting on the deck we watched a variety of small birds, bats at dusk, and even an owl flying past.Being able to park right next to the gated path leading to the cabin was a real bonus, especially for our tired feet. The location was also excellent: easy to find, yet perfectly placed for exploring the area. We visited Yr Wyddfa, Harlech, Porthmadog, Beddgelert, Betws y Coed, Bangor and Caernarfon, all of which were within an easy and comfortable drive.Overall, a peaceful, comfortable and well-located place to stay. We’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing base to explore the mountains and the wider North Wales area.
