Guests say

GRAIG Cottage in Beaumaris offers a peaceful and secluded setting with a secure garden, ideal for dogs and family-friendly activities. Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and the proximity to wildlife and beaches. While some guests mention issues with hot water and internet connectivity, the overall experience is highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

The cottage generally seems well-kept, though there are isolated comments about some crockery not being clean. This suggests room for improvement, but it does not appear to be a widespread concern.

The location is praised for its peacefulness, proximity to wildlife, and being a good base to explore Anglesey. However, some inaccuracies in the property description regarding nearby amenities slightly affect the score.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the wood burner adds to the cozy ambiance. However, fluctuating water temperature and pressure in the showers have caused some discomfort.

Facilities like the kitchen and garden are appreciated, but several guests report issues with hot water availability, inefficient appliances, and lack of WiFi, indicating a need for maintenance and upgrades.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, aside from a personal greeting upon arrival. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Graig Cottage was a good base for us to explore other parts of Anglesey and we enjoyed our stay overall. There are some things that requirement improvement, however, as follows: hot water is not always available; the cooker hot plates are not efficient; the vacuum cleaner likewise; and we had no bucket and mop.

Beautiful stone cottage, fully equipped with everything we needed…except WiFi or a good internet connection sadly. And before you start judging me, we like to research our next days travels and what we’ve seen during the day to fully enjoy our holiday. However, there are too many positives to not recommend this cottage. The secure garden for our dog was great, as was the location which was a short drive from Beaumaris. No shops or pubs nearby but that wasn’t a problem for us and we liked how secluded and quiet the small complex was. The forest to the back gave the most beautiful wildlife noises at night, I hadn’t heard an owl in years! Beds were comfy and the shower hot. The kitchen was a little dated, however everything worked and it was well equipped for us to cook in, so no issues there. The wood burner gave the best relaxing heat at the end of the days walking. James the host met us on arrival, which was a lovely touch. Definitely highly recommended for a lovely relaxing holiday.
