Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn is situated on the owner’s working farm, (small dogs welcome) with fabulous views over the Cambrian Mountains, perfect for exploring the Cardigan coastline. There are over 60 miles of glorious coastline in Cardigan Bay, with lots of beaches and coves. The pretty coastal resort and fishing village of New Quay and the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron can be easily reached within a 20-minute drive as well as the coves of Cwmtydu and Llangrannog. You’re very likely to see dolphins in the bay and there are boat trips available to watch them and the other wildlife. The Victorian seaside and university town of Aberystwyth is also within easy reach, and here you’ll find a traditional pier, promenade and the old electric cliff railway to the summit of Constitution Hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bay.
If outdoor activities are your thing, there are plenty of options for walkers and cyclists of all abilities at the National trust estate Llanerchaeron as well as horse riding, canoeing and more. You can enjoy a day out at the National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines at Pumpsaint, the Silver Mountain Experience (silver-lead mines) at Ponterwyd or the red kite feeding centre at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. Why not take a trip on a traditional steam train from Abersytwyth to the falls at Devil’s Bridge?

Just back from our week long trip with my family. The hist, Sandra was welcoming, friendly and generous, with one of the best welcome baskets we’ve seen, fresh cakes and a basket stocked with treats, and milk and butter in the fridge. The cottage was clean, cosy, and well presented, comfortable chairs , kingsize bed was fairly firm, but we had a good sleep. Views of the beautiful countryside, from the balcony, we had the use of a summer house also. It’s a 10 min drive to the nearest village with shops etc, so it’s fairly out the way, but near enough for the seaside to spot dolphins and seals in Cardigan bay. Would highly recommend

We had a fabulous week at Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn, the barn is well situated to get out and explore the area. The barn has everything you need to enjoy your break and was so clean and comfortable, even the outside areas were comfortable and relaxing. The view from the balcony was incredible, we enjoyed sitting there just enjoying the peace and soaking it all in every day. Very dog friendly and just what we needed.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The barn is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Everything that you might need is provided. The 'welcome pack' was amazing, including homemade cakes, wine, bacon and eggs along with all sorts of other treats. The setting was lovely and quiet and the view from the balcony was stunning. I loved sitting out with my morning coffee or my evening glass of wine! We will definitely return!
