Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn is situated on the owner’s working farm, (small dogs welcome) with fabulous views over the Cambrian Mountains, perfect for exploring the Cardigan coastline. There are over 60 miles of glorious coastline in Cardigan Bay, with lots of beaches and coves. The pretty coastal resort and fishing village of New Quay and the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron can be easily reached within a 20-minute drive as well as the coves of Cwmtydu and Llangrannog. You’re very likely to see dolphins in the bay and there are boat trips available to watch them and the other wildlife. The Victorian seaside and university town of Aberystwyth is also within easy reach, and here you’ll find a traditional pier, promenade and the old electric cliff railway to the summit of Constitution Hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bay.
If outdoor activities are your thing, there are plenty of options for walkers and cyclists of all abilities at the National trust estate Llanerchaeron as well as horse riding, canoeing and more. You can enjoy a day out at the National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines at Pumpsaint, the Silver Mountain Experience (silver-lead mines) at Ponterwyd or the red kite feeding centre at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. Why not take a trip on a traditional steam train from Abersytwyth to the falls at Devil’s Bridge?

We absolutely loved our stay here. The barn is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Everything that you might need is provided. The 'welcome pack' was amazing, including homemade cakes, wine, bacon and eggs along with all sorts of other treats. The setting was lovely and quiet and the view from the balcony was stunning. I loved sitting out with my morning coffee or my evening glass of wine! We will definitely return!

We found Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn to be a delightful holiday property. I have given all categories ‘five star’ scores though if you were visiting this accommodation without a car you may find the location a little too far from the nearest shop. We were aware of this prior to travelling and, as we had access to a vehicle, were able to visit the lovely nearby town of Abarearon for any provisions we wanted. Ysgubor is in an ideal location for visiting several places of interest. The property was immaculate with many thoughtful extras and an excellent ‘Welcome Pack’ on arrival. If you are looking for a countryside location within a few miles of a beautiful coastline then Blaenparc Barn would be a great choice. Lovely hosts complete the holiday experience.

The cottage was amazing , well presented, clean and done with care. We had an amazing week, good location to explore local attractions, we particularly liked New Quay, Aperporth and the wool museum was interesting. The welcome pack at the cottage was truly generous and so thoughtful. The owners could not do enough for us, but also respected our privacy . It was a lovely week and we would highly recommend it.
