What can I say, mere compliments do not do Mike and Dawn justice nor the amenities provided at Yr Hen Efail. An excellent, relaxing and peaceful stay with only the weather being the downfall of what was our second visit to Wales. Wine and cake on arrival with an extremely warm welcome where our needs were met to the full along with a simple, any questions/problems please just ring the bell. Homely and very rustic with a lot of detail and photos off how the old blacksmith’s used to look before conversion which is to an extremely high standard. Warm and comfortable with the added benefit of a tumbler dryer which is much better then having a standard dishwasher that’s for sure. If one needs a simple, quiet and relaxing place to say for a holiday with your better half and the dog, it’s here. Thank you both for a perfect stay.Don & Ro

A great find, loved this cottage, photos don't do it justice. Dawn and Mike were tremendous hosts, very helpful and on hand if you needed them, Mike met us on arrival and showed us how everything worked, and was always good for a chat, with recommendations of places to visit. The location was amazing, very friendly and welcoming villagers, a great pub with amazing food, and lovely woodland walks a few steps from the cottage. This is one which we will certainly return to, an amazing cottage and location with great hosts and plenty to do and see within a short drive.

If it's peace and quiet you need look no further than this beautiful cottage. The owners Dawn and Mike have thought of everything to make your stay so relaxing. They were also on hand to check everything was up to standard and we were happy with the accommodation. A lovely welcome pack awaited us and even treats bowls and towels for our dog. The history of Y Hen Efail was told in the welcome booklet and information on local restaurants and places of interest was very helpful. Thank you Dawn and Mike. We look forward to returning.
