Please note: There are uneven floors in the property.. As suggested by the name, this farm building was originally used as a boot room and has been converted into a cosy, one-bedroom holiday cottage. With your own private entrance and courtyard to the front, The Old Boot Room is adjacent to the farmhouse where the owners live. Inside, is an open-plan living space with a seating area, TV and a kitchenette with breakfast bar. There is one bedroom with a double bed, and a shower room. The quirks of the building remain to maximise the space – note the uneven floors.
The Old Boot Room is perfect for a cosy, countryside retreat. Located on a smallholding, you may even get to see some farm animals (if you are bringing your furry friend, please be mindful of other animals at the farm). A stone’s throw from the farm is the quiet, rural village of Llanfynydd where you’ll find the local pub – perfect to relax in after a day out.
You can enjoy fantastic walks in the countryside from your doorstep, or explore more of Carmarthen by car. Whether it’s indulging in Welsh history at Dinefwr Castle, discovering nature at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, or hitting the bike trails at Brechfa Forest, there’s plenty to do within a short drive (under 30 minutes). Nearby, Llandeilo is a pretty market town with independent shops, cafés and restaurants. Carmarthen is a larger town where you can shop at the local centre and market, catch a movie at the cinema or hit a strike at the bowling alley! Beach 21¾ miles.

Thank you Audr & Paul for sharing this little retreat with us for a week, it's just what we needed. The Old Boot Room just has something magical about it from the minute you walk through the door. From initial booking too leaving communication is fantastic, always friendly and polite, but there in the background if you need them. Reading material is wide and varied and more than enough too cover a multitude of tastes. It's the little details though that make it feel like more than just another booking the welcome basket on arrival is more than just milk and some scones, there's a hairdryer too so don't need to pack that! The guidebook of places too go and local pubs and restaurants is handy as you're quite rural so it makes it easier to plan days out, but it's just as easy to cook at home. Don't forget to say hi to the variety of animals on the farm they are all a friendly bunch will come closer for photos, yes even the cows. It really was just what we needed to recharge the batteries. Perfect quiet weekend bolt hole, excellent welcome hamper, massive smart TV for watching films and although there isn’t an oven the hob, air fryer and microwave means you can easily still cook most meals in the well equipped kitchen. Hosts were lovely, would 100% recommend to others and we will probably be back soon.
