Boasting pet-friendly accommodation, an enclosed rear garden and close proximity to local amenities and a beach, Haulfryn welcomes eights guests to relish the ultimate getaway in North Wales. Cross the threshold to discover a stylishly-decorated open-plan living space hosting a well-stocked kitchen with all the necessary appliances; allow the designated chef to cook up a storm to be served at a large dining table over a bottle of fizz. After delighting in a feast, curl up on the plush sofas in front of a Smart TV, read to enjoy a movie night. Alternatively, why not step out into a rear garden to bask in alfresco affair, with a favourite tipple in hand as the sun sets in the distance. When the sky grows dark, retreat to either a sleek shower room or bathroom to wash away the day, ready to retire to one of two double bedrooms, or a family bedroom complete with triple bunk and a single. If you can tear yourself away, head to Traeth Bychan or Traeth Lligwy for a day on the sandy trails ahead of venturing into the local town where you’ll find a shop to stock up on the essentials, as well as several pubs that you can visit on days when you don’t feel like cooking. Journey to Beaumaris to discover Beaumaris Castle, Beaumaris Pier and Beaumaris Gaol and Court, a day out guaranteed to impress the history enthusiasts among you; alternatively, head to Menai Bridge for a world of fun at Pili Palas Nature World or embark on a boat trip to explore the riverbanks, passing by Plas Newydd House and Gardens along the way. Close by spend the day in Bangor, the oldest city in Wales, where the splendid Bangor Cathedral, Penrhyn Castle and Bangor Garth Pier all reside, in addition to a flourishing collection of restaurants, independent shops, pubs and bars where you can get a taste of Welsh nightlife. Experience all of this and more in North Wales, from the stylish base of Haulfryn.

Moelfre, a charming seaside community with little cottages, a scenic port, a beach, lovely views of Snowdonia, a functioning lifeboat, and two excellent pubs/restaurants, is located on the lovely east coast of Anglesey. Discover magnificent cliff-top treks with breathtaking mountain views, enjoy fishing or observing sea birds, seals, or even dolphins, or visit the wildly popular local Seawatch Centre. The sad Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859 was the most recent of the village's many historical connections. Benllech, Lligwy, and the picturesque Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open dunes and birds, are beautiful sandy beaches that are close by. A great starting point for exploring this wonderful island and stunning Snowdonia.

Lovely view of the sea and a stones throw from the coastal path with beautiful walks in either direction. Lots of space for the dogs to pad around in the garden and the kids loved the bunk bed room. There was plentiful hot water and the place was warm and cosy after a day of getting wet in the Welsh rain. So much so, we didn't feel the need to use the woodburner. The kitchen was well kitted out and we even able to make a roast. Moelfre is a lovely little village- good pub, ice cream shop and fish and chips. Sweet little pebble beach which is great for swimming from (even in the winter!) A perfect base for exploring Anglesey and we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the outside space and visit more of the beautiful beaches.

The negative comments were totally uncalled for and unfounded. On arrival to the property we were greeted with a beautifully laid out Christmas Hamper and the property was very tastefully decorated for Christmas. This property is stunning. It is in the most amazing location with easy access to both the village and the coastal path. The interior is well thought out and very spacious and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Yes, the sofa back was quite low for my 6 foot husband and the front door does need slamming hard but these are very minor details. We experienced a very dramatic storm during our stay and had to use a bungee cord on the main gate to keep it closed but the view of the lightening over the sea more than made up for it. The property was very warm, clean and extremely comfortable. A massive bonus for us, travelling with two Pekingese show dogs, was the outside shower with warm water which enabled us to keep the dogs very clean after our long walks. I have already recommended this property to a number of friends and colleagues and would like to thank the owners for allowing us to spend a wonderful Christmas in their beautiful home.

Disappointed the owners have let it become so tired and uncared for. The oven was dirty, the kettle and toaster needs replaced and the crockery is scratched to the point it should have been disposed of long ago. We also didn’t enjoy playing ‘temperature tag’ as every time we turned up the heating, it would be turned down remotely via the app. It was freezing, and we checked it was switched to manual and not timed. The garden is not secure for dogs with gaps everywhere and the gate doesn’t lock. It’s a danger not to have any outside lighting at all. We were told the wrong day for the bins and were shocked to discover no recycling bins at all. Pity as this is in such a beautiful spot and the sea can be seen from the lounge. More love and attention needs to be paid to the general upkeep and cleanliness.
