For a beautiful day out on the beach visit the coastal village of Rhosneigr, with plenty of seaside amenities and two lovely beaches, you can enjoy the waters which are great for watersports. Hire some equipment, or if you're new to watersports then head to Funsport Rhosneigr and book a lesson in kite surfing, surfing, wind surfing or paddle boarding. Pop on your walking boots and get to know the local area, tackling footpaths and coastal trails, all alongside the company of your canine companion! Nearby are wonderful sandy beaches and rocky coves including the magnificent Blue Flag sandy beach at Trearddur Bay, renowned for safe bathing, watersports, sailing and fishing, as well as excellent walking and golfing opportunities. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, less than a mile away is the Iorwerth Arms, a warm and friendly pub serving Sunday lunches and a selection of ales. The village of Llanfelog offers a convenience store, handy should you need to grab any essentials, whilst attractions in the area include South Stack Lighthouse with its RSPB Reserve, and the port of Holyhead with a good selection of amenities is only 8 miles away. On the other side of the Isle, the charming town of Beaumaris has lots to enjoy, including several artisan and lifestyle stores, quality bakeries, fish and chip shops and the fabulous Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour. The little community of Caergeiliog is nestled between Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, two popular seaside resorts on Anglesey's west coast. The scenery is breathtaking, with a long swath of low grassland shoreline punctuated by rocky bays and fine sand beaches (European Blue Flag and Green Coast Award). In the summer, the major activities at RAF Valley are watersports, bathing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, and plane spotting, while golfers will enjoy two outstanding 18-hole links golf courses. With renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve and Valley Lakes, as well as plenty of rock pools and spectacular cliff top treks to explore, it's a terrific destination for nature enthusiasts. Nearby Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay include stores, taverns, and restaurants, but Holyhead has more amenities, including a decent leisure facility, an intriguing harbour front, a marina, the world's second longest breakwater, and exciting day trips to Dublin on the fast ferry. This is a fantastic place with a lot to see and do!
