Enjoying an excellent location for summer beach holidays and relaxing winter breaks, these holiday homes, Alarch (CC611029), Lili Wen (CC611030), converted from former farm buildings, and Porthdy Crey r Wen (UK6621), a detached mobile home, boast a lovely country setting, overlooking the Alaw Estuary Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spacious and very comfortable, they are set on the owner’s farmland, a truly breathtaking setting affording wonderful walking, birdwatching and fishing from the doorstep. The Isle of Anglesey coastal footpath passes close by, with the nearest sandy beach being just 1 mile away. The location of the cottages is an ideal base for exploring the island with its beautiful beaches, rocky coves and lively family attractions, such as Beaumaris Castle, Anglesey Sea Zoo and boat trips for fishing and puffin watching. Snowdonia and day trips to Ireland are easily accessible. Beach 1 mile. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 3 miles.

Ours was a last minute booking as we were unable to stay with my elderly parents in nearby llangefni. What a lovely surprise we had. Porthdy Crey r Wen was a delight. We sat out of an evening enjoying the fantastic weather where we were entertained by the joyfully sounds of the local bird life. Whilst off the beaten track it was never more that 10 minute journey to places like the White Eagle at Rhoscolyn or the fabulous Catch 22 in the remarkably well appointed nearby village of Y Ffali. If you want simplicity at great value look no further than Neuadd Wen. Diolch yn Fawr Iawn

No host interaction when we arrived.Crockery and cutlery dirty had to wash before I could use them. Supposed to have been a welcome pack just 6 eggs & pkt biscuits. Towels smelt funny & were a grey colour. Looked like there had been a leak in the roof 2 big cracks.No proper folder with information in about the place or places to visit. We were disappointed & of all the cottages we have hired this was the most disappointing & it spoilt our holiday.We will definitely not return.

We really enjoyed the location, especially being surrounded by nothing but fields. It’s also very conveniently situated, making it easy to get to almost anywhere on Anglesey. The caravan was clean, although it is starting to feel a bit dated.The internet connection was quite unreliable and patchy, and the same was true for the TV signal. On some days, the reception was so poor that we couldn’t access any channels at all.That said, we only stayed for four days and spent most of our time out exploring the island, so these issues didn’t have a major impact on our overall experience.
