About this property

Kite Cottage is a holiday cottage located on the southern coast of Anglesey. From here you take a mile-long stroll to Malltraeth Cob which is where you can also pick up the Anglesey Coastal footpath. Wildlife, walks, beaches, attractions and places to eat and drink are all within easy reach of this family holiday cottage.

The well equipped kitchen has an oven & hob, fridge with an ice box, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster. A door leads out into enclosed garden at the back of the cottage.

In the sitting room you will find comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove to add warmth at colder times of year, a large TV, DVD player, books and games. There is also a dining table and chairs for family mealtimes.

On the ground floor is the family bathroom with a bath, a separate shower, loo, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

Upstairs are two sweet bedrooms - one double and one twin bedroom.

At the back of the holiday cottage is a lovely enclosed garden with garden furniture. Sit out here with your morning cuppa, or with a glass of wine after a happy day of exploring!

There are some of Anglesey’s best beaches close by - Newborough, Aberffraw, Cable Bay and Rhosneigr are each within a ten minute drive. Malltraeth, the village in which Kite Cottage sits, has a pub, cafe, art studio, bookshop and a fish and chip shop where you can also pick up a newspaper, milk and other basic grocery items. If you’re looking to explore one of the most popular part of Anglesey, then this holiday cottage makes for an ideal base. In fact, you can even get the most out of your break in North Wales and visit Snowdonia, too!

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has a pub, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Cable Bay, or head to Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.
