About this property

Location, location, property, location! Uig Bay Cottage is a gem, a lovely property inside and out, and situated in honestly one of the best spots in the whole of Scotland. Book the place and stay at one of the best places you can find.. Uig Bay Cottage is attractive inside and out having been built and finished to a very high standard. Built in 2017, you’d be forgiven for thinking Uig Bay Cottage was a traditional Hebridean dwelling. It’s so tastefully done.

Accessed by its own driveway, pulling up and getting out the car will trigger a rather special feeling of being in awe. The cottage is a cracker, and it looks even better for its position and jaw-dropping surroundings. It’s even better than the photos. Uig Sands is right below the cottage and the beach ranks amongst the best in Europe and the world.

Entering the property you’ll fall for the place even more. Stylish with classic taste and luxurious throughout. The living/kitchen enjoys a wood burner and patio doors out to decking that overlooks the sands. There’s a separate dining room that again enjoys spectacular views of sands and hills. The bedroom is a lovely space and enjoys an en-suite shower room. There is also another bathroom with a bath.

Once you arrive at Uig Bay Cottage you won’t want to leave. However, Lewis & Harris are a special place with world renown sites that you simply have to visit. Don’t miss the relatively near Callanish Standing Stones, the Blackhouse Village, Butt of Lewis lighthouse and the magical Luskentyre beach. Beach 200 yards.. All on the

Fabulous place, amazing location and lovely hosting. We couldn’t have asked for more. We managed to get on the last sail to the island before storm Amy hit the uk. Rebecca our host kept in touch with us from a few days before our arrival checking we were ok with our travel arrangements and that we arrived safely and had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She had left us a whole array of goodies, the house was lovely and warm and a good amount of wood for seeing out the storm. Uig bay is right on the edge of south Lewis so is susceptible to a fair bit of weather, which makes the views from the cottage all the more arresting. There is a fabulous restaurant close by and the best stocked community shop I have seen in a long time. We had a great time and can’t thank Rebecca enough. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

Our stay was outstanding due to the location, accommodation standards, cleanliness throughout and not forgetting the friendly support provided by Rebecca before and during our holiday. The images provided give a true reflection of what you get for your money which in our opinion is money well spent For two days we as four young stags as neighbours in the next field and almost everyday we witnessed white tailed eagles flying over Uig Bay ( good quality binoculars provided)Due to its location, your own transport is a must, near and far there is an abundance of interesting places to visit, you won’t be disappointed.Get you in pack …WOW
