Maari is a spacious cottage in Lochmaddy, ideal for families and nature enthusiasts. Guests appreciate the ample space, peaceful setting, and proximity to wildlife and scenic beaches. The well-equipped kitchen and the ease of arrival and departure are noted, with evenings spent enjoying loch views. While the decor is considered tired and cleanliness has been a concern, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment in a serene crofting community.
Cleanliness has been highlighted as an issue, with a specific mention of finding a chicken bone and sticky stains. This indicates room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, wildlife, and beautiful beaches. It serves as a good base for exploring North Uist and beyond, although a car is necessary.
The cottage is described as comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of room for families. However, the mention of 'tired decor' suggests that while the space is comfortable, it may benefit from some updates.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample parking. The ease of arrival and departure is a plus, but the mention of tired decor suggests some maintenance could enhance the experience.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Lovely Cottage, great location. We were surprised just how big the house is, loads of room for a family of 4 and plenty of space for everyone.

North Uist is a beautiful and peaceful island and if you're going there by car this is an ideal place to stay. The best beaches are a short journey by car, as well as the only 2 shops. The house is large and comfortable and the kitchen is a good place to hang out in as well as eat in. The check in was simple and the directions to find the house very clear and simple. We hope to stay here again sometime.
