Set in the heart of Fort Augustus and looking out over the locks of the Caledonian Canal, these beautifully presented holiday apartments make the perfect base for enjoying the village amenities and also for exploring this lovely part of the Highlands. You can sit in the comfort of your living room and watch boats travel through the canal. This pretty village is situated at the southern end of Loch Ness and is close to the Great Glen Way. Lots to see and do for all ages – monster spotting on Loch Ness, boat trips, mountain biking, canoeing, hill walking to name but a few. Take a trip to Fort William, the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’, or Inverness, the vibrant Highland Capital. A trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye with the dramatic scenery of the west coast should not be missed. Or just relax and watch the ever changing views over the village. The location of this property is perfect. The property itself is pretty basic and the kitchen not well equipped when compared against other properties we have stayed in. It should also be noted that there is not a washer/dryer as stated on cottages.com website, it is just a washing machine. We didn't find the mattress on the bed comfortable, it could do with a mattress topper. We also felt it could be cleaner. However for what we paid and the location of the property we would stay here again.

Lovely holiday let right beside one of our favourite places, Fort Augustus. Right at the opening of the Loch ness so plenty to do and see. Eric was a great host and made sure we had all the information needed and was even on hand on day after arrival, if we had any issues, but we had none at all. The holiday let was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for our stay including a couple of extra home essentials. Would definately recommend and go back there to stay in a heartbeat. The only thing I would recommend is an outside washing line for each flat, as only a washing machine in our property and not a washer dryer.
