Clover Cottage is a fantastic holiday home on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. With sea views and being only a short walk to a huge sandy beach, it’s the perfect place to spend a week or two as a couple or as a family. Clover Cottage is a new-build bungalow which has been designed and finished brilliantly by the owners.
There’s a fantastic open plan kitchen/dining/living space with doors out onto the garden. There are two spacious bedrooms, a double and a twin. A great family bathroom with double walk-in shower and outside, the enclosed garden is lovely with a decking area to sit out late in the summer amazed at the midnight blue skies. From the garden you can see across the fields of sheep to the wild north Atlantic; It’s a very special spot indeed. Also, there’s a utility/games room in the outbuilding with washing machine and table tennis table. The outbuilding is also a great place to store bikes, canoes, surfboards, etc.
North Uist is an amazing place for a holiday, not least because you are still in the UK but get the sense of being on another planet! It truly is life on the edge with the influence of the north Atlantic only yards away. North Uist is joined by causeway to many other Hebridean islands, including Berneray, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay. Harris & Lewis are only a short ferry ride away.
Staying at Clover Cottage is a great base for exploring more of these magical islands as you’re centrally located in the Hebridean archipelago. Don’t hesitate in booking Clover Cottage. It’s a wonderful place to spend a week or two, and as soon as you arrive, you’ll be wanting more time than you’ve booked for!

Great cottage in a superb location. It was clean, comfortable and warm, with outstanding access (as in no more than ten minutes) to some of the best beaches in the UK. Great wildlife viewing spots including Killin harbour within half an hour drive, and plenty of local wildlife too - we saw deer, Golden and White Tailed Eagles from the cottage. A terrific beach well within walking distance. There isn't a whole lot to do on North Uist other than scenery and wildlife, so don't go expecting to eat out every night or spend the days pottering around galleries and craft shops. It's very much a location where you are largely disconnected from every day life, which was exactly what we were looking for. There is a decent Co-op a couple of minutes drive away, and an excellent coffee/ sandwich shack two minutes drive the other direction.I'd be very happy to go back to Clover Cottage.

A lovely, well designed cottage in a great, peaceful location. Walking distance from some of the best beaches in the Hebrides plus one of the few shops on North Uist. Joan and Angus were great hosts and responded very quickly to messages. We hope to come back!

Our 2nd stay at Clover Cottage. Its a beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plus, it has views over the land to the beach and sea. Angus and Joan were the perfect hosts.
