Just returned home from The Heron, we have stayed here so many times we've lost count. The property is now under new ownership, and some changes have been made. The heron has always been an incredible place to stay and now even more so, in fact it is outstanding. As soon as we walked in, the fragrance was beautiful, the cleaners had done a great job and the place was immaculate. The new furniture is lovely, very in keeping with the cottage. Having a dishwasher must be a nightmare to run for the new owners, Mark and Martina but as a guest it is massively appreciated. The bottle of wine waiting in the fridge was a lovely touch and the incredible Olympus binoculars didn't go unnoticed. As usual we didn't want to leave, and we questioned ourselves as to why the heck we do not move to the area but hey ho, maybe one day. We will be booking to go back as soon as possible. Thanks, Mark and Martina you should be proud of yourselves, it looks flipping lovely in there! :) x

We had another lovey trip to the Heron over the New Year break! We have been vocation since 2016. The house is great, it was beautifully decorated for the festive season and a lovely welcome hamper! The views across the loch are incredible and there are l excellent coastal and forest walks right on the doorstep. It really is heaven for dogs! The local pub - the Ardentinny is a five minute walk anway and has a warm welcome and excellent food. The addition of a dishwasher after all these years is the icing on the cake! Thanks so much
