No smoking.. This absolutely gorgeous cottage is located just outside of the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, not far from Edinburgh. Ideal for a family or small group, this three bedroom property will sleep six people in luxury. One of the three en-suite bedrooms has been fitted as a twin, with the other two having exceptionally comfortable kingsize beds. It may be of interest that one of the kingsize double rooms is on the ground floor. The open-plan living area enjoys a view over garden and the surrounding fields towards Linlithgow at the rear. Guests will love returning in the evening after a day out exploring and enjoying the area, kicking off their boots and relaxing in front of the exceptionally cosy wood burner. The dining table will sit six easily and there is a breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with high spec branded appliances and has everything needed for the prep and enjoyment of a family feast. Speed the Plough is located on a working farm and livery yard, and it may be worth noting that full serviced livery can be provided upon request.
Located just half a mile from Junction 3 of the M9 motorway, the links to Edinburgh are fantastic. Linlithgow train station provides express services to Glasgow and Edinburgh within 20 minutes.

We have returned to Speed the Plough on a number of occasions. A great location for Edinburgh, Glasgow and in-between. Staff very helpful and prompt when contacting them. A home from home and no doubt we will be returning.

Fantastic stay. Local to everywhere we wanted to see. Just one suggestion to maybe have grab rails in the downstairs en-suite as my dad struggled in the shower. Apart from that I would highly recommend. Thank you
