The cottage was very clean and well prepared. The amenities were good. The shop was a short distance. The pub was very local and friendly. The only downside was the steep path upto the cottage. Maybe a railing to help people to get to cottage.

Amazing cottage, great views but beware of the steep path to the front door :). The hosts left us lovely welcome gift of wine, soft drinks treats for the kids and the dog! They have thought of everything tbh to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage is in a location close to amenities with a great pub two doors down, you can tell it is a well run friendly pub we popped in for a drink but could not book a table, although they are a dog friendly pub, dogs are not allowed after 6pm, which we understood, was a shame as the menu looked amazing! The cottage has three comfortable bedrooms one double downstairs and a double and twin that share a bathroom upstairs.Hot tub was great and was well used, we did not use the sauna but was there to use if you wished to do so.Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook a meal in the house, we were there only three nights so we only used the cooker for breakfast, one observation is there is no room to put food other than the fridge, maybe a shelf or cabinet above the microwave would be good?If I had to give the hosts constructive feedback, other than the storage in the kitchen, there really is not enough furniture in the lounge to comfortably seat six ppl. In the downstairs bedroom it could so with bedside cabinets but I accept space is tight by the bed, also somewhere to sit and do your hair and makeup would be a bonus too in the downstairs bedroom. The hosts were amazing one of the best I have come across, they gave great details of what and how to use the cottage, directions to the cottage etc.Would I recommend this cottage to friends and family, 110%! although Hoseasons were not brilliant (I won't go into this now) the break was fantastic and we are seriously thinking of booking this cottage with friends next year for a week.

One of the best cottages we’ve ever stayed in. Very well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It included a lot of lovely touches to make your stay really special such as the welcome hamper. Sauna and hot tub are very welcome when you come back home from a long day out! Very comfortable beds and quiet neighbourhood for peaceful night sleeps. Great location for trips to nearby tourist attractions in Falkirk, Loch Lomond, Stirling and Glasgow to mention a few. Local butchers J Hobson sold lovely meat and were very friendly and helpful. We also loved Sophie’s sweet shop on Union Street for desserts like bubble waffles with ice cream and sauce. Highly recommend this cottage!
