Harperfield Chalet is a fantastic gem! Cathy was very welcoming to the four of us on arrival, which gave us confidence that we were in safe hands. The chalet felt very airy, loved the high ceilings in the bed rooms, they felt very fresh. Beds were comfortable. My two children were very happy in their room. Both bedrooms had ample space to unpack and store clothes. The kids love the games cupboard. There was something for everyone, from young to old. My son enjoyed playing with the dominos and jenga.Cathy and Julia clearly thought of what guests would likely need on their break away, I particularly liked the washing machine and tumble drying discreetly in the hut at the top of the garden to use any time we needed for emergency. The garden space is vast! So many places to sit and chill. My two kids and partner and I had space to have our own time but still be safe in the one place. The weather was not great while we were there, however it did not dampen our spirits, we made great use of the outdoor features. Our favourite part was the hot tub. You could tell it was a good quality hot tub as it kept its heat really well and it was quick to warm up to 40oC. We were in the hot tub at least 3 times a day. We loved using the Bluetooth speaker next to the hot tub, great sound off it.We regularly used the fire pits and the bbq. Cathy and Julia had a great abundance of firewood and coal for us to use which was greatly appreciated. We were grateful for the peace and quiet and privacy given to us, however we knew that the owners were just a phone call or chap at the door away if we needed them.In our last day, Julia kindly offered the kids to meet her horses. They were so lovely and well behaved. Julia was very down to earth and you easily felt at home in her presence. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend Harperfield Chalet to anyone needing a break away from the fast day to day life we live in. This is a place where you can let go and relax and potter about the garden or simply chill in the chalet.

We had a fantastic week at the Chalet. So impressed with the effort and attention to detail taken by the owner. Cathy was so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed to get the most from our stay. The views our stunning especially from the hot tub and we counted over 10 different seating areas to enjoy. The welcome treats were a lovely touch. We can’t wait to come back again. The chalet is a wonderful holiday home. Having rented all over the UK, we were particularly impressed by the thought and attention to detail that has gone into the layout and facilities. I'd mentioned in advance that it was our wedding anniversary during our stay and on arrival, the chalet was beautifully decorated for the occasion with lots of lovely complimentary touches that made us feel special. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of indoor seating for four. The kitchen is compact (as expected in a chalet) but has everything you need. WiFi is excellent and there are two smart TVs of decent quality. On top of this, the outside space is simply stunning both in terms of views and range of seating available at multiple places in the grounds - we counted nine different outdoor seating options in all! It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub with a drink and our own playlist on the provided Bluetooth speaker, looking out across the river at fields and hills. Highly recommended!
