Guests say

Larch Cottage in Aberfeldy is highly praised for its warmth, comfort, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and cosy atmosphere, particularly the underfloor heating. The property's 'upside down' layout and proximity to local attractions and walks are also noted. While some minor maintenance and cleanliness issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found Larch Cottage to be clean and well-presented. However, a few mentioned cobwebs, dog hair, and the need for a deeper clean between stays. The majority of reviews do not raise cleanliness as an issue, hence the high score.

The location is consistently praised for its convenience to Aberfeldy, local attractions, and scenic walks. The cottage's setting is described as peaceful and ideal for exploring the surrounding area, contributing to a very high score.

Guests frequently mention the comfort of the cottage, including the cosy atmosphere, comfortable bed, and underfloor heating. The 'upside down' layout is appreciated for its quirkiness. Some guests found the sofas a bit dated, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The cottage is well-equipped with cooking facilities and a powerful shower. Some guests suggested improvements in maintenance, such as the vacuum cleaner and toilet cistern. The presence of a drying room for wet equipment is a plus. The score reflects the balance between the well-received amenities and the suggested maintenance updates.

While guests appreciated the provision of milk and tea, there is insufficient information to determine if this is a consistent practice or if other thoughtful gestures are regularly offered. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Really enj the cottage and like the little touches milk etc - not sure if there is room but a dishwasher would have been good and the hot water is very slow to come through, but would use again definately

Good communication from the hosts around check in process. Disappointed with the cleanliness, lots of cobwebs throughout the property (some which had large families of spiders living in them) and dishes required to be washed prior to use. We understood the property was dog friendly prior to booking and brought our own dog with us but didn't expect to find as much dog hair everywhere upon check in. The living area clearly hadn't been hoovered, we found pieces of copper metal on the floor which were a danger to our dog. The bed linen was clean and comfortable. However I would recommend future guests bring their own towels as the ones provided were very small and had seen better days. The bathroom was surface clean but again would benefit from a scrub.Feel the property overall is in need of a deeper clean between guests in order to make a stay here more enjoyable.
