The lodge is just a 5-minute walk from the historic Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, a renowned Scotch whisky distillery dating back to the 1890s. Known for its rich, honeyed single malts, the distillery offers guided tours, whisky tastings, and an interactive museum. The wider area is celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes and offers a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing, and wildlife spotting. Nearby Loch Tay is a haven for watersports and boating, while the village of Kenmore offers a peaceful lakeside atmosphere with more local shops and dining options. For a memorable day trip, visit the Falls of Dochart in Killin, a powerful and picturesque waterfall surrounded by natural beauty. Adventure-seekers can head to Ben Lawers, one of Scotland’s highest mountains, offering challenging hikes and sweeping panoramic views.

The lodge was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Lodge was immaculate, location has stunning views. Spacious and warm, excellent wifi, great a Netflix account was included. Fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with on suite. Clean fresh bedding and towels, comfy double and two single beds. We would have given the Tay lodge a complete 5 star review however a couple of minor things lowered some to 4 stars and believe me they are minor and easily fixed by the owner... a toilet brush would be handy and also somewhere outside to hang washing like the other lodges though a clothes horse was inside just not big enough for 3 ppl.Overall highly recommend, many local attractions, Castle Menzies, Crannog centre etc.Local Co-op store extortionate in prices, best use Asda express next door or travel to Crieff. We'll definitely be back, love it over all
