We had a fantastic week at Market Stance , perfect for a relaxing week away . The cottage is in the most amazing location with beautiful surroundings, it had everything you need , I would recommend doing a shop on your way as it is a fair distance to shops , the local village shop does stock essentials though The House itself is perfect, it was comfortable and I would never tire of the views and the wildlife We would definitely return

Well appointed, spacious and secluded bungalow in a fantastic position adjacent to Bernera beach with ever changing views across to Kylerhea on Skye. We spent the week walking in the local area which was quiet in the first week of October. Taking the ferry across to Kylerhea is highly recommended (note this only runs Easter to mid October). We crossed as foot passengers to explore the Kylerhea wood and otter hide, also crossed by car (£30 return) to venture further on Skye. Saw white tailed eagles, waders and a sea otter.

We absolutely adore Glenelg and Market Stance. Being so close to the beach is brilliant and it’s a short walk to the shop and the pub. The local wildlife is also amazing. There aren’t many places in the UK where seals and dolphins are a regular occurrence. The only downside we found was the bed in the master room was far too hard and too high (personal preference) and the dated washing machine. Unfortunately we had an incident in the first week which resulted in the lid hitting me on the head whilst loading and I needed to get first aid which meant we missed putting the bin out for collection. An outside line would also be beneficial during warmer days rather than the indoor creel.
