Wildcat Lodge is praised for its beautiful location, tranquility, and well-furnished interiors. Guests appreciate the proximity to activities and the peaceful woodland setting. Some minor issues with maintenance and amenities are noted, but overall, guests are planning return visits, highlighting the lodge's suitability for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it well-kept and tidy. However, there are isolated comments about the need for better vacuuming and a few instances of unclean kitchenware, which slightly detract from the overall high standards.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquility, and proximity to local attractions and activities. Guests enjoy the peaceful woodland setting and the nearby river, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a quiet retreat.

Comfort is well-regarded with guests mentioning beautifully furnished rooms and good kitchen facilities. Some guests noted issues with bed sizes and noise from the heat pump at night, but overall, the lodge is considered comfortable and well-suited for a relaxing stay.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the kitchen and bike storage. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a noisy fridge, broken hob, and the need for more mirrors and kitchen equipment. These issues suggest room for improvement in ensuring all facilities are in top condition.

While guests are content with the amenities provided, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null due to insufficient information.

It is apparent that they are starting to decline since our first stay. The washing machine was unusable and had a fault code displayed. The dishwasher leaked a couple of times in the kitchen. The downstairs shower was very dirty with mould and grime at the base of the shower area. The oven does not have a clear instruction guide. It explains what the symbols are but not that you have to set the timer for it to work. No key was provided to enable use of the outside shed. The fire and the external fire pit had not been cleaned. The downstairs bed was loose. It is a shame as this has lowered our level of expectancy of the standard and confidence in the lodge.

It wasn't very clean, we needed to Re wash some of the utensils and pans before using them. The outside area hadn't been swept at all and there was a packet of cigarettes left out there. Our bed downstairs really creaked every time you moved. The fridge was noisy in the open plan area and needs replacing and I wouldn't suggest someone could sleep in there. I am disabled and found the loo in the wet room to be extremely low and needed to put a chair in there to help me. I would suggest some explanation of accessability of the surrounding area to be added, so other people are aware that the paths aren't wheelchair friendly and you would need a robust mobility scooter to get around easily. Other than that we found Scotland beautiful and the weather was bonus.
